Stretching along the north of Cap Corse, this authentic and charming resort offers a panoramic view of the small shale island named Giraglia. Its fishing port is also worth visiting.

Rondinara Beach

Everyone agrees that another seaside area worth seeing during a trip to Corsica is Rondinara, which has been declared the most beautiful beach in France and Europe on many occasions, thanks to the magnificence and transparency of its beautiful waters and by its almost perfect cove surrounded by two peninsulas covered with reddish rocks and luxuriant vegetation (scrubland: a vegetation typical of the Mediterranean climate, to be precise!)

Palombaggia: The Beach of Your Dreams

Given that it is also the most famous beach of all, it goes without saying that this is a must-see for anyone coming in Corsica.

Ajaccio, the Capital

If you go to Corsica, you will probably go through the capital, Ajaccio, which you must see. Colourful, historical, and cultural, Ajaccio has everything it takes to make your stay in Corsica special. People visit Ajaccio to admire its splendour and its monuments of Genoese architecture, to learn more about its heritage and visit its many museums, including Maison Bonaparte, the French emperor Napoleon Bonaparte's birthplace, now a national museum. The Tour de la Parata

When in Ajaccio, be sure to see the spectacular tower erected by the Republic of Genoa in 1550 on the coastline, the tour de la Parata. From this tower, you can also travel by boat to the Sanguinaires Archipelago, another of Corsica's must-see attractions.

Corte, Historical and Cultural Capital

Located in Haute-Corse, the pretty town of Corte is the historical and cultural capital of Corsica. People visit the city to enjoy the wildlife – it is a little corner of paradise, beautifully-preserved – to hike among the high mountain and forests, to admire the blue lakes, spectacular valleys, and other wonders of nature found nowhere else in the country.

Perched on a hill, the town of Corte is unique thanks to its shale houses and narrow, cobbled streets. You can also learn more about its history through its museums. The Restonica Gorge, Melo, and Capitello lakes and the visit to the citadel (now a museum) are among the must-sees if you visit the town of Corte.
