Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park - Frosty Fun for the whole family

Disney’s Blizzard Beach at Walt Disney World Resort Florida opened its doors on April 1, 1995 and covers almost 27 hectares.

The theme of this water park is based on the idea of a ski resort in the middle of a tropical lagoon! The legend says that: “A heavy snowstorm fell on the Orlando region in Florida which allowed the construction of the first ski resort in this southern state. Of course, the snow melted so quickly that the slopes were transformed into water slides. The ski lifts and ski jumps slopes remained in place and became the stars of this ski resort in the tropics! Ditch the snowsuit to put on your bathing suit and hit the slopes!

Take a ride aboard the Chairlift to admire the summits of Mount Gushmore or descend at full speed the 12 floors of the Mountain. Race with your friends or relax in the lazy river around the park. Young and old will have a blast all day at the park water Disney's Blizzard Beach!

What attractions await you at Disney's Blizzard Beach?

• Summit Plummet : downhill vertical almost 12 stories high that sends the most daring into a dark tunnel towards a dizzying dive, for thrill seekers strong only!
• Slush Gusher : a slip snow-covered 90-foot course where you will pass at full speed from rugged terrain that will propel you downward.
• Runoff Rapids: 3 slides on buoys descending the slopes of Mount Gushmore. The center slide is completely closed, one slips into a dark tunnel, and the other two swirl to make you experience splashing pleasures!
• Snow Stormers: three slides on carpets to race in zig zag with your friends.
• Toboggan Racers : a standard 8-track toboggan for speed competitions on a mat. Warning at the arrival!
• Downhill Doubler Dipper: two slides on a tube where you will disappear into a black hole by sliding down a slope 50 feet at full speed. Who will win the race?
• Teamboat Springs : an adventure 1200 foot long family rafting trip through rapids, bends sudden and waterfalls. Hang on!
• Tike's Peak : the play area for toddlers 122 cm or less, with miniature slides and water jets.
• Ski Patrol Training Camp : a second play area for children. Face obstacles, water slides, zip lines and other fun challenges.
• Cross Country Creek : walk soft and calm on a river buoy at the foot of Mount Gushmore, with its mysterious caves and its illuminated caves.

• Melt Away Bay: a pool with small waves and small waterfalls, perfect as a day at the beach!
  

Tips from the Makers of Magic

• It is recommended to pass a mobile ordering via the My Disney Experience app for meals at Avalunch Warming Hut and Lottawatta Lodge. No long line to wait before to enjoy a good meal!
• You can reserve cabanas and private spaces during a full day at the park for a group or special occasion ($).
• Lockers are available at the entrance to the water parks ($) to leave your valuables. If you only bring towel and sunscreen, do not hesitate to choose a deck chair for the day and leave your beach bag there!
• In summer, it is advisable to go there early in the morning, from the opening! You will avoid the crowds and above all, it should be noted that the ground gets hot in the afternoon! So if you are planning a visit under the sun of in the afternoon, don’t forget water shoes and sunscreen!
